The Grêmio Scouting Center in Tubarão is an official initiative of Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, inaugurated in December 2023 as the club's first scouting center in the state of Santa Catarina. Located at Arena Gools on Avenida Padre Geraldo Spettmann, near the city's bus station, the center aims to identify and develop young football talents in the southern region of Santa Catarina. Under the coordination of Professor Laurence Silvestri, a professional with over 20 years of experience in youth football, the center fully implements Grêmio's methodology and work philosophy. In addition to the headquarters in Tubarão, activities have been extended to other cities in the region, such as Laguna, Capivari de Baixo, and Criciúma, expanding the project's reach. The center has already shown promising results, with young athletes being evaluated at Grêmio's Training Center in Porto Alegre.
